The L’Alfàs + Social Centre hosted a few days ago the talk ‘Longevity and health: What are the secrets to living better?’, given by our nutritionist Sofía Cortés. This activity was carried out in collaboration with the senior living THE COMM and framed in the parallel events of the exhibition ‘A vivir que son 100 años’, an exhibition produced by the Fundación General CSIC and permanently loaned to this complex for seniors.
The Councillor for Health, Marisa Cortés, the director of THE COMM, Rafa Miró, and the director of the Health Area of THE COMM, Carolina Pérez, participated in the opening ceremony of this talk in which Sofía Cortés gave some keys to face a healthy longevity. Sofía Cortés has a degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Alicante and a Master’s degree in Integrative Medicine and Clinical Psychoneuroimmunology from Regenera.
During the talk, the participants discussed how to deal with the ageing process, paying attention to the factors that can determine whether the ageing process is carried out in the best possible conditions.
This talk is part of the catalogue of parallel activities of the exhibition ‘A Vivir que son 100 años’, an exhibition produced by the Fundación General CSIC based on the work carried out by a top-level scientific committee. After visiting several Spanish cities, this scientific exhibition on longevity has arrived in l’Alfàs del Pi, which invites us to understand the ageing process a little better, not only from an individual point of view, but also from a collective one.
Aimed at all audiences, the exhibition provides innovative ideas that can help us to understand and cope with our own ageing and that of those around us, and even help us to see this vital process as a source of opportunities.
